FEBRUARY

DQI organized a Spoken Word Poetry Contest with a theme, “Love Ran Red” on February 14, 2020. The above photo was taken after the ten contestants (students from the various schools in the city) received their awards.

Ms. Liezle Labine, a youth leader and a 5th year SPSPS Accountancy student shared her love story to 130 students and how the Lord redeemed her from being broken to whole again. She challenged the youth to fully surrender the control of their lives to God.

MARCH

AGAPE VALUES Program in School

DQI Team posed with CRMNHS Teachers after the AGAPE Values Sessions for Grade 10 students last March 03, 2020.

Through our partnership with Department of Education (DepEd) Tacloban City Division, DQI was able to facilitate Character Building Formation dubbed as AGAPE Values Sessions among Grade 10 students in Cirilo Roy Montejo National High School (CRMNHS). The said sessions were done twice a week for an hour starting last March 3 but was cut short due to community lockdown imposed by the government on the 20th of March. Overall, we were able to conduct 6 sessions covering a total number of 343 students. The photos that follow were taken during the actual sessions simultaneously conducted among the Grade 10 students.

We praise God for raising more youth volunteers to help us do the work that God is leading us to do. He is truly awesome and forever faithful!

A photo of our dedicated and passionate youth volunteers who sacrificially offer their time, talent and effort to mentor other students.

We thank God for the opportunity that we were able to extend help to our community through our barangay health emergency response team (BHERT) during the enhanced community quarantine last March 26, 2020.

Take a look at our weekly online life groups which started last April. We thank and praise God that despite the locked down due to CoViD-19 pandemic, we were still able to connect with each other through online life groups.

More online life groups conducted on a weekly basis during this month due to government’s imposed restriction within the city.

Church Planters receiving their monthly support.Praise God for the continued partnership of DQI and Touching Young Lives International (TYLI) who never fails fails to support ten selected local church planters in the region. Thank you TYLI for your monthly support to our local church planters.

130 households received food packs from DQI.

We praise God for the 130 households who received the food packs during the lock down due to COVID-19 pandemic. The said distribution was conducted last May 11-16, 2020. The recipients were students and their families under our Student Sponsorship Program (SSP) and members of LifeLite Community.

“I am very thankful to DQI and for all the sponsors for the food pack they gave to my family.  It is but a real joy to receive such blessing specially this time where it is hard to earn money for our everyday needs. It may be little but a huge help to us already. I hope that God will continue to use DQI to reach out and help more people in our city. Thank you and God bless! -Erik Mil (2nd Year College)

We want to thank all our international and local partners for the generous support extended to us in this endeavor. Please share in our joy through some of the pictures attached in this report . To God be all the glory!

Thank you so much and God bless you more!
