“Youth ministry is not about getting things accomplished – only the act of God can bring about the transformation we seek. Youth ministry is about participating deeply in young people’s lives as we await, together in suffering & joy, the coming of God.”
― Andrew Root

A team of nine Singaporeans from Bethel Assembly of God Church came to Tacloban City last June 16 – 30, 2017 for a short term mission trip called STEP (Short Term Exposure Program) led by their youth pastor, Mavis Wong. They conducted a series of activities along with DQI staff and volunteers from children ministry (singing, dancing, role-playing, Bible story – telling, and feeding program) in the Northern barangay/village, parenting seminars, house to house visitations, prison ministry, and leadership training to various students to life coaching.
Prison ministry is taking the initiative to show the tangible love and mercy of Christ to people behind bars. They deserve to receive the same amount of love, care and kindness from people in our community. By visiting, praying and helping them in any way we can, we allow them to experience God’s love in practical ways.
